REBUKE then SPEAK
Mark 4:39
He got up, REBUKED the
wind and SAID to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!"
Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
In Mark 4
35-41 Jesus calms the Storm.
The waves
were so strong it caused the boat to rock and break. The waters rushed over and
over the boat at the command of the wind.
The apostles allowed the spirit
of fear to overtake them, even with
Jesus on board.
Jesus was
asleep in the stern of the ship. The apostles woke Him, and ask Him if He cared
about their circumstance.
Jesus immediately
got up, He didn’t address the apostles
at the moment.
He addressed the storm.
You see, the STORM (the situation,
circumstance, and problem) SPOKE
louder than the apostles.
Our problems,
issues, hurts and pain speak louder than the answer. You
have to be still and get quiet to hear the answer from God. It’s a still small
voice but carries much power and wisdom.
The spirit peace is attached to that voice.
So when the
problems in your life seems to overtake you, STOP…REBUKE it immediately then SPEAK.
When you rebuke it you are telling it to stop it maneuvers.
When you speak
to it you are telling it what to do or where to go.
God has
given us the same authority. The storms in our life must obey our words. Luke 10:19 applies to everything in your
life.
SO, SPEAK THE WORD ONLY!
