Fairy Tales!

The world wants you to still believe in fairy tales.

When ever you are faced with problems…you are advised to seek the answer through supernatural means… through mediums, channelers, psychics, etc…but not God.

I can remember The Wiz with Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. Dorothy (Diana) had to seek out a wizard to get answers that were right in front of her. On her journey she encountered others that needed help (advice) before they could move forward in their lives.  They were given direction to a path to follow that would take them to the Emerald City. In this city they would meet The Wiz. He was the one who knew everything about everything.  Once they were inside the city they are bewitched and had to conform to its laws. Sound familiar?  When a color was called out everyone had to transform to that color and change directions.  I am not speaking against laws; We must obey the laws of the land or face consequences.

What I am saying is, there are natural laws and spiritual laws. The choice is yours to obey.  Just like in the natural, if the law is broken we suffer the consequences and the same goes for the spirit realm.  Did you not know that there are spiritual laws?  Even if you did not, they still operate in your life.  I will give you one example…you reap what you sow…   That’s true, the bible tells us in Galatians 6:7,

Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

That applies to all areas in your life. If we only seek out men for answers, what are you saying to God? The one who created and knows all about you, your inter-working, your down falls, and up raising. He knows everything about you.  All your secrets, your deepest desires, every care and every where you hurt.  You're telling Him inspite of all this, a mere man knows more than He does and can advise you better.

WOW!  In other words the created knows more than the CREATOR.

As you seek direction  for life's daily journey,  your answers can be found in the Bible. Instead of picking up a horror...scope...pick up the Word of God.  First thing in the morning, seek His wisdom and you will find it.  Seek Him for the hard answers of life and they will be answered. God will and can work through men, but you need to know when and where to seek them.  In this journey you will encounter others in need of help.

Are you equipped for the job?

I will talk about being transformed in a future blog.

A STEADY STREAM!

As a new school year approach, its exciting and fresh.  Everyone moves with a quickness and all minds a focus on this one event.  Some will go to public, private and even home school.  My household is preparing for public and home school.  As I look at the internet for help there is a steady stream of information, a wealth of knowledge. I reflect back on Matthew 4:1-3, when Jesus was lead into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil and the message bible states it like this:

1-3 Next Jesus was taken into the wild by the Spirit for the Test.
The Devil was ready to give it. Jesus prepared for the Test by fasting
forty days and forty nights. That left him, of course, in a state of extreme
hunger, which the Devil took advantage of in the first test: “Since you are
God’s Son, speak the word that will turn these stones into loaves of bread.”

Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy: “It takes more than bread to stay alive.

IT TAKES A STEADY STREAM OF WORDS FROM GODS MOUTH.”

Just like Gods word says it takes a steady stream….  To gain knowledge of anything it takes time and effort.  While we are focus on the natural things in life, this new school year, let not forget that staying alive in Christ takes spending time with Him.

GIVE WAY TO THE LIGHT!!!

What is the difference between light and darkness according to scripture?

According to the gospel of John, " God is light; in Him there is no darkness".
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all,                               If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:                                                                        But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." KJV
John called God, "Light". In other words God is the one who illuminates and radiates energy; He is the creator and source of everything. Darkness is referred to as sin.  Dallas Willard states: "Almost all evil deeds and intents begin with the thought that they can be hidden by deceit." The kingdom of evil is built on lies, secrets, and darkness. It requires the absence of light to survive. So, light exposes what is hidden in darkness and provides the energy needed for the giving and sustaining of life.

In the beginning darkness was upon the face of the earth...(Genesis 1:2)  The Spirit of the Lord provides light (power)...physical energy for the development of all life, and spiritual direction (order) toward and in obedience to God's Word.  Jesus Christ (the word) brings light to our hearts and expels the darkness. In John 12:46 Jesus says, "I [Jesus] have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness (NIV)”. When we believe in and accept Jesus Christ in our lives darkness gives way to the light. (John 15).  This includes everything from the darkness of human sin to the dark power of the devil.
THERE IS NO DARKNESS IN JESUS AT ALL!  II Cor. 5:21.

God the father allowed His son Jesus Christ to be crucified on the cross for OUR sins. The darkness of the cross could not hold Him, because HE NEVER SINNED.  John 10:18.   In this way we are assured of God's total authority over sin and its corrupting nature. God's light is shed upon the darkness of all sin, allowing human beings the opportunity to escape the dark grip of sin for the light of God's truth and love. This is why (and how) "the blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin (1 John 1:7)."   Today if you have not surrendered you life to Christ, you are still living in the darkness.

Allow Him Jesus) into your heart today and GIVE WAY TO THE LIGHT!
